Being a mother is an attitude, not a biological relation.
Don't be to anxious to give your children what you didn't have, as you might neglect to give them what you did have.
Pauli was the sweetest baby. Never cried and slept through the nights. While we were building Apusmun, we lived in a small house with a garden. Pauli was out playing and I called out, lunch time. He was about 18 months old. I couldn't see him and looked under the bushes. I heard him laugh and looked up and he had somehow climbed onto the roof. I told him, "don*t move" and found a ladder and brought him down. How he climbed up there is still a mystery. Another time when we launched Apusmun, he was in the cockpit and with a life jacket, he climbed up and out of the deep cockpit and jumped off the stern and the tide was going out and I had to make a quick jump into the dingy and row out to fetch him, all the whiled he was laughing. My only fear were the sharks. He still wasn't 2 years old.
Here is a diary
entry written when robin was 2 years and 7 months old and heidi was 10
months old. I am just 30 years old and Robie is one week shy of 35 years
old. April 10 1975 Chimney sweep here, he couldn't get in the cellar it was
so crowded. Excuse my appearance. I'm so tired, my husband was home all
week-end. Robin hid in the refrigerator, thankfully I found him. Heidi hit her mouth and bleed all over. Robin lit a
candle on my head while I talking to Robbe on the phone. Heidi crapped in
the playpen and ate it. Marie had to puke as she was washing out Heidi's mouth with mouth wash. Both kids finally took a nap and this is only two in the afternoon.
